American Vogue is so boring. I can't remember the last time they had an interesting pictorial. Always the same models. Always the same brands, and always copying the themes of W but with less creativity and more money. boo.

When a picture like this (featuring Marisha Pessl) appeared in some women's magazine - with hair in the air, grey background, equally ridiculous pose - some Gawker commenter called Pessl "1980s JC Penney ad hot." And that's about how I feel about this, minus the hot. (Nothing against Caroline! Just something different please!)

I grow tired of her. she's pretty, but still....
I can mention one Vogue spread that knocked it outta the park recently: last month's "paris, je taime..."
